Multiple Teams · Valley Wrestlers Compete at State Meet

The  Panther wrestling team sent four individuals to the OHSAA Division 2 State Wrestling Championship being held at the Schottenstein’s Center on the Ohio State University campus. After two sessions the Panthers still have two wrestlers in contention for getting on the podium. Junior Jake Martinez continues to work his way through the winner’s bracket with a 2-0 record. Jake wrestles in a semifinal match tonight at approximately 6:30pm. If he wins, Jake will wrestle tomorrow for a state championship. Senior Anthony Moran is currently 2-1 winning his first match, dropping his second match to a three-time state champion and then coming back to win his next match. Anthony will wrestle tonight at approximately 6:30pm. If he wins tonight, he keeps alive the possibility of finishing as high as third place tomorrow.

Senior Ethan Fout and sophomore Addison Fogle each finished their state meets at 1-2 but should be very proud that they earned the honor of being in the top 16 in their respective weight classes in the state of Ohio.
